Espresso Chocolate Chip Banana Bread


Ingredients:


1½ cups mashed ripe bananas
½ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup butter, melted
¼ cup milk
1 egg
1 ½ cups plain flour
1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
1½ teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

 

Preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C).


In a bowl mix together bananas, sugars, butter, milk and egg until well combined.

In a seperate bowl sift together flour, instant espresso powder, baking soda and salt.

Add the dry ingredients gradually to the wet ingredients and stir until well combined.

Fold chocolate chips into the batter.

Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 5 inch (23 x 12½cm) loaf pan.

Bake for 55-60 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.

Leave in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack.
