Banana Chocolate Cinnamon Cake


Ingredients:


½ cup butter, softened 
2 mashed ripe bananas
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups plain flour
1½ cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt 
½ teaspoon baking soda
1½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon ground allspice  
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup finely chopped chocolate



Preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C).



In a large bowl mix butter, bananas and eggs until well combined.

In a seperate bowl sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.

Mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk to the wet ingredients.

Fold in the chopped chocolate.

Pour the cake batter into a greased 13 x 5 inch (33 x 12½ cm) loaf pan.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.

Leave in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack.
